Moda charms: 4+1=1?

Some time ago (actually a few years ago..) I bought a 5' charm pack from Moda at Quiltegården. I've tried to puzzle the squares together to make a table cloth, but did not quite arrive at a solution that I liked. Last week I tried to instead make the squares into 4 separate placemats - and a bridging piece. I'm not sure why my charm pack contained 49 squares (this reference talks about charm packs), did I loose one and it should have been 50?
Nevertheless, I puzzled 3*4=12 of the squares into 4 separate placemats. Full size (after adding the binding) for each placemat is 4.5'*4+0.5=18.5' times 4.5'*3+0.5=14' (47 cm times 35.5 cm). I've meandered over the placemats.
I found a nice matching Moda fabric with small dots for the binding, and on the back I put two different brown fabrics - one with hearts and one with candy circles.
If I place the placemats with the bridging piece in the middle it can serve as a tablecloth.
Ready for breakfast!

Utrolig smart ide. Tror jeg skal lage noen slike brobyggere til mine kuvertbrikker også -- dette var jo rålurt
